Michael was born on the hottest day of the year, 104 in the shade. Growing up on a farm with two brothers and one sister, his love of rural life heavily imprints everything he writes.
He graduated from McPherson College and spent fifteen years as a missionary in far-off places like Tanzania, Swaziland, and Zululand. After a decade of producing monthly newsletters, he shifted his talents toward writing Christian love stories. He’s been a member of several prominent writers’ communities and now is a panelist for The Writer’s View (TWV).
Michael’s writing journey began with a story about a college student working on a farm. He’s completed seven other novels: Shunning Ida Mae, Inherited Wife, Gifted Heart, Deception and Depravity, Three Strikes, Wounded Heart, and a small book of humorous boyhood stories entitled Rabbit Tales.
He lives in the greater Atlanta area with his wife, loving daughter, and her seven children. Fueled by popcorn, he writes novels on his laptop computer and secretly nibbles on chocolate. He’s active in his local church and creates PowerPoint lessons for a Life Group class.
