Rabbit Tails

I grew up on a family farm near central Iowa, where corn, beans, dairy, beef, chickens, pigs, and a horse were part of my upbringing. This rural area and Christian community stamped me as an outdoor person. Hunting rabbits was as much a part of me as was plowing, making hay, and taking care of livestock. My life involved raising animals as pets and also hunting for the dinner table. I picked up the nickname Rabbit after catching seven of them without a gun.
